Paralegal Office Administrator

Paralegal will have knowledge and notable experience related to trust and estates, real estate, and corporate law. Some litigation experience is preferred. He/she should thrive in the fast paced, deadline-driven, multi-faceted environment of a boutique law firm, and will closely assist senior counsel in reviewing and drafting legal and business documents. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and collect information from designated business units, such as ledgers and personal records

  • Communicate regularly with senior counsel resolving legal issues and disputes.

  • Investigate internal factual claims

  • Review, analyze and create legal documentation, including agreements, correspondence, and reports

  • Assist senior counsel in communicating with counsel in other firms

  • Plan and manage other projects as assigned

  • Perform preliminary legal research

  • Document review

  • New client intake

  • Liaise and correspond with insurance adjusters

  • Invoice tracking and processing

  • Handle heavy correspondence and drafting

  • Search databases and other sources to locate files, agreements, and other information

  • General administrative assistance and support

  • Track deadlines for contracts and other agreements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Area of Study: Law 

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to act with a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Comprehensive computer skills (Microsoft Office including Excel, Westlaw, …) 

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Native level of Spanish and English, other languages a plus. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
